About us

Established in 2022 by Mason Smith and Kylee Smith, MK Construction finds its origins in the move from Nashville, TN, to Tampa, FL, where they set out to create more than just buildings - a construction legacy. The couple's story unfolds at Mississippi State in 2015, and their union in January 2020 marked the beginning of their joint professional venture. Committed to delivering unparalleled service, MK Construction distinguishes itself through unique designs, seamless communication, and expert guidance in the construction and interior design sphere.

Mason brings a wealth of construction expertise, having worked extensively in Residential and Commercial Highrise projects. Growing up in Madison, MS, he gained hands-on experience assisting his parents in constructing houses for major developments. Armed with a degree in building construction science and a minor in business from Mississippi State University, Mason spent three years in Nashville, TN, focusing on Project Management for a General Contractor. During this period, he successfully led a 21-story multifamily development, later transitioning to a 26-story, 265-unit multifamily project. A few months thereafter, Mason and Kylee took the bold step of founding their own construction company, turning their dream into reality.

Meanwhile, Kylee brings a wealth of design and marketing experience to MK Construction. Hailing from Tampa, Florida, she graduated from Plant High School and pursued a bachelor's degree in arts and sciences at Mississippi State University. Her professional journey led her to a construction company in Nashville, TN, where she contributed her enthusiasm, knowledge, and creativity. Kylee plays a crucial role in leading MK Construction's marketing and design department, ensuring that each project reflects a perfect blend of innovation and expertise.
