Proudly Built in Tampa
Our Story
Crafted by Experience. Driven by Purpose.
MK Construction is more than just a business to us. It’s something we’ve built together, combining our experiences, our passion for construction, and a shared vision of creating a company we can truly be proud of.
Our journey began long before MK Construction. Mason grew up around residential construction in Mississippi before going on to manage large commercial projects in Nashville. Kylee’s career took her into construction marketing, client relations, and design, where she developed an appreciation for both the building process and the people behind every project. With our different backgrounds and experiences, we knew we had something special to bring to the industry.
When we started MK Construction, we wanted to do things a little differently. We wanted to create a company where quality was never compromised, communication was always a priority, and our clients felt genuinely taken care of from beginning to end.
Today, we’re proud of how far MK Construction has come. From custom homes and luxury renovations to commercial construction, our commitment remains the same. We believe that the relationships we build are just as important as the spaces we create, and that doing things the right way will always matter more than doing things the easy way.
As we continue to grow, we never want to lose sight of why we started. Our goal has never been to be the biggest construction company, but to be one that our clients trust, our team is proud to be part of, and our community can rely on for years to come.
Our Why
We didn’t choose Tampa because it made sense on paper. We chose it because it is home.
Tampa has been Kylee’s home for five generations, and after more than 10 years together, we knew it was the perfect place to build our life, start our family, and put down roots in a community that means so much to us. After spending years away gaining experience in different areas of the construction industry, coming back to Tampa felt like the natural next chapter for both of us.
When we decided to build MK Construction, we had a clear vision: to serve Tampa families and businesses who walk in with a dream and walk away with something that surpasses it. We wanted to create a company built on honesty, craftsmanship, and genuine relationships, where every client feels valued and every project receives the attention it deserves.
We understand, deeply, how much your space means. It is where your mornings begin and your evenings wind down. It is where family gathers, where memories are made, and where life unfolds in its most private and meaningful form. For business owners, it represents years of hard work, dedication, and a vision for the future. Being trusted to bring those spaces to life is a responsibility we don't take lightly.
That understanding shapes every decision we make, from the first consultation to the final walkthrough. We want our clients to feel confident in who they're working with, knowing that we care just as much about their experience as we do about the finished product.
At MK, the standard is simple. Every project is held to the same level of care, precision, and accountability, for every client, without exception. As our company grows, we remain committed to the values we started with and to building something our family, our team, and our community can be proud of for generations to come.
