Leadership Team
CEO & Director of Construction
Mason Smith
Mason brings a wealth of construction experience, with a background spanning residential, large-scale multifamily, and commercial construction. Growing up in Madison, Mississippi, he gained hands-on experience assisting his parents in building homes for major residential developments.
He later earned a degree in Building Construction Science with a minor in Business from Mississippi State University. After graduating, Mason spent three years working in project management for a leading general contractor, gaining valuable experience on large-scale multifamily and commercial construction projects.
During this time, Mason worked on a 21-story, 210-unit multifamily development valued at approximately $80 million before advancing to a 26-story, 265-unit development valued at approximately $120 million. He also had the opportunity to contribute to the construction of Toyota Field in Madison, Alabama, a Minor League Baseball stadium and home of the Rocket City Trash Pandas, the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels.
These experiences provided Mason with a strong foundation in project management, quality control, budgeting, scheduling, coordination, and client-focused execution. Working on complex projects of this scale helped shape the high standards, attention to detail, and leadership he continues to bring to every MK Construction project today.
With a strong foundation in large-scale construction and a shared vision for building something of their own, Mason and Kylee took the leap and founded MK Construction, turning that vision into the company it is today.
Director of Marketing & Design
Kylee Smith
Kylee brings a unique combination of creative vision, construction industry experience, and a strong understanding of the Tampa Bay market to MK Construction. A fifth-generation Tampa native, she was born and raised in South Tampa and attended Plant High School before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations from Mississippi State University.
Her career began in Nashville, Tennessee, where she worked in marketing for a respected construction company and affordable housing organization, developing an early understanding of the relationship between thoughtful design, construction, and the way people experience a home.
She later transitioned into large-scale commercial construction, supporting projects across the Western United States for a major mechanical, electrical, and plumbing subcontractor. This experience strengthened her knowledge of the construction process, attention to detail, and ability to coordinate the many moving pieces behind a successful project.
Today, as Director of Marketing & Design, Kylee leads MK Construction’s marketing, branding, and creative direction while overseeing the company’s in-house interior design services. She works closely with clients throughout the design and selection process, providing guidance on finishes, fixtures, cabinetry, countertops, tile, lighting, paint, and other details that bring each space together.
By combining her background in marketing with her eye for design and understanding of construction, Kylee helps create a cohesive experience from the way each MK project is envisioned and designed to the way it is ultimately presented and shared.

Dean Paluch
Dean is a Tampa native who attended Tampa Catholic High School before continuing his education at the University of South Florida. Throughout his career, he has founded, owned, and invested in multiple successful businesses, developing extensive experience in entrepreneurship, business operations, strategic planning, and investment management.
After partnering with MK Construction on a project, Dean recognized the company’s vision, values, and potential for growth and became an integral part of the team. Today, as President of MK Construction, Dean oversees the company’s business operations and provides strategic leadership as MK continues to grow.
His background in business development, investments, financial planning, and operational strategy allows him to work closely with the leadership team on the systems, processes, and financial decisions that support the company’s day-to-day operations and long-term goals. He also remains involved in real estate acquisitions, investment opportunities, and project feasibility, coordinating with attorneys, real estate professionals, and other key stakeholders when needed.
Dean’s entrepreneurial mindset and operational experience help ensure MK Construction has the structure and strategy in place to grow intentionally while continuing to deliver the quality and level of service the company was built on.

Mitchell Smith
Chief Operating Officer
Mitchell brings extensive construction experience, with a background in managing complex commercial projects across a variety of markets. Growing up around the construction industry, he developed an early understanding of the building process and a passion for bringing projects from concept to completion.
He went on to earn a degree in Construction Management from Mississippi State University before beginning his career in Nashville, Tennessee. There, Mitchell spent several years working in project management and leading large-scale commercial construction projects, including downtown high-rises, healthcare facilities, and private developments.
Throughout his career, Mitchell has gained extensive experience in project management, scheduling, coordination, quality control, budgeting, and field operations. Managing projects of significant size and complexity has given him a strong understanding of what it takes to keep teams aligned, anticipate challenges, and successfully execute a project from preconstruction through completion.
As Chief Operating Officer at MK Construction, Mitchell brings the structure and precision of large-scale commercial construction to each project while maintaining the personal attention and level of care that define MK. His leadership, attention to detail, and commitment to quality play an important role in ensuring every project is thoughtfully managed and executed to the highest standard.
Matthew Schobert
Project Manager
Matthew is a Tampa native who was born and raised in South Tampa. He graduated from Plant High School before earning his degree from Florida State University.
Matthew joined MK Construction during its early stages as an intern, working alongside founders Mason and Kylee Smith as the company was being built from the ground up. Through hard work, dedication, and a commitment to continuous learning, he advanced to Assistant Project Manager and now serves as Project Manager, playing a key role in the company's continued growth and success.
Over the years, Matthew has developed extensive experience managing a wide range of residential construction projects, with particular expertise in condominium renovations, hurricane restoration projects, bathroom remodels, and kitchen remodels. Known for his strong communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving abilities, he works closely with clients, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
As one of the longest-tenured members of the MK Construction team, Matthew's knowledge of the company's processes, commitment to quality craftsmanship, and dedication to client satisfaction make him an invaluable part of every project he oversees.
Tommy Rossiter
Painting & Punch-Out Superintendent
Tommy brings more than four decades of painting expertise to MK Construction. A Tampa native, Tommy was born and raised in the Tampa Bay area, attending Tampa Catholic High School before continuing his education at the University of South Florida.
Tommy's roots in the industry run deep. His father, Tom Rossiter, founded Tom Rossiter & Son Painting, a company that has proudly served homeowners, builders, and businesses throughout the Tampa Bay area for more than 40 years. Through decades of hands-on experience, Tommy developed a reputation for quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service.
Today, following the merger of Tom Rossiter & Son Painting with MK Construction, Tommy leads the company's painting division as Painting & Punch-Out Superintendent. He works closely with homeowners, builders, and project teams to oversee painting projects from start to finish, including client consultations, estimating, scheduling, crew coordination, and quality control.
As a lifelong Tampa resident, Tommy takes pride in serving the community he has called home for generations and continues to uphold the values of craftsmanship, integrity, and personal service that have defined the Rossiter name for over four decades.
Ignacio Corporan
Lead Carpenter
Ignacio serves as Lead Carpenter for MK Construction, bringing a strong commitment to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail to every project. As a key member of the construction team, Ignacio plays an important role in bringing each project's vision to life through his skill, precision, and dedication to excellence.
Known for his strong work ethic and meticulous approach, Ignacio oversees a wide range of carpentry work across custom homes, renovations, and remodeling projects. Whether completing detailed finish work, framing, or custom installations, he takes pride in ensuring every aspect of a project meets MK Construction's high standards.
Working closely with our project managers, superintendents, and field team, Ignacio helps turn plans and design details into carefully executed finished work. His hands-on experience and ability to problem-solve in the field make him a valuable resource throughout every stage of construction.
Ignacio's reliability, craftsmanship, and dedication make him an invaluable member of the MK Construction team and a trusted contributor to the quality and success of every project he touches.
Jeff Bush
Field Operations Coordinator
Jeff plays an important role in supporting MK Construction’s day-to-day field operations, helping keep projects organized, documented, and moving forward. Working closely with our construction team, he assists with job site coordination, material pickups and deliveries, and various project needs across our active job sites.
Jeff also oversees daily project documentation, visiting active projects to record progress through detailed daily logs, photos, and videos. His consistent presence in the field helps ensure our team has an accurate record of work being completed and provides another layer of communication and accountability throughout the construction process.
Beyond the job site, Jeff is a natural relationship builder and enjoys connecting with people throughout the Tampa Bay community. Whether supporting our team in the field, building relationships, or stepping in wherever needed, Jeff brings a dependable, hands-on approach and a willingness to do whatever it takes to help keep MK Construction and its projects moving forward.
Cris Sanchez
Project Foreman
Growing up in the Tampa Bay area, Cris was introduced to the construction industry at an early age. He began gaining hands-on experience working with his father’s roofing company, where he developed an understanding of the trades and what it takes to work as part of a team in the field.
Cris later joined Tom Rossiter & Son Painting, where he had the opportunity to work directly alongside Tommy Rossiter and build his experience in painting, job site preparation, and day-to-day field operations. Following the merger of Tom Rossiter & Son Painting with MK Construction, Cris joined the MK team and continues to work closely with Tommy in support of the company’s Painting Division.
As Project Foreman, Cris assists with coordinating work in the field, supporting project teams, and helping ensure day-to-day tasks are completed efficiently and to MK Construction’s standards. His willingness to learn, take on responsibility, and step in wherever needed has made him a valuable part of the team.
As MK Construction continues to grow, Cris continues to grow alongside it, gaining experience across projects and developing the skills and leadership needed to take on greater responsibility within the company.
Operations & Administration
Andi Paluch
HR Director
With over 10 years of human resources experience, Andi has built a diverse background across manufacturing, construction, technology, and energy storage, working with organizations ranging from startups and small businesses to large corporations.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Andi earned her degree in Sociology and Human Resource Management, along with certifications in Safety and Diversity and Inclusion. Throughout her career, she has developed a passion for helping growing companies establish the people, processes, and structure needed for long-term success.
As Director of Human Resources at MK Construction, Andi oversees the company’s HR operations and works closely with leadership to support the team as MK continues to grow. From onboarding and benefits to policies, performance management, compliance, and workplace culture, she helps ensure the right systems are in place to support both the company and its employees.
Andi is passionate about creating a workplace where employees feel supported, valued, and equipped to succeed while helping MK Construction build a strong foundation for continued growth.
Uliana Vlasov
Administrative Assistant
Uliana serves as Administrative Assistant for MK Construction, providing organizational and operational support that helps keep projects and daily business operations running smoothly. With a strong background in communication, customer service, and administrative coordination, she plays an important role in supporting both the office and project teams.
Originally from Russia, Uliana holds a degree in Psychology from the Moscow Institute of Psychoanalysis and is fluent in both English and Russian. Her educational background has provided her with valuable skills in communication, problem solving, organization, and interpersonal relations that she brings to her role each day.
At MK Construction, Uliana assists with document management, vendor coordination, financial documentation, office administration, and project support. Known for her attention to detail, professionalism, and positive attitude, she helps ensure that daily operations remain efficient and organized while supporting the needs of clients, vendors, and team members.
Uliana's dedication, adaptability, and commitment to excellence make her a valued member of the MK Construction team and an important contributor to the company's continued growth.
